Avoid
Lung-eye-trachea virus (LETV, GenBank AY124577.1),

loggerhead genital-respiratory virus (LGRV; GenBank EU004539, EU004540, EU004541)

and loggerhead orocutaneous herpesvirus (LOCV; GenBank EU004542, EU004543, EU004544).

Also want to avoid the so-called loggerhead herpesvirus

and the olive ridley herpesvirus.

TARGET

Fibropapilloma-associated turtle herpesvirus_nucl_95.fasta
Will blast 95 sequence against herpesvirus to try to find genes where most species have information

Table only uses Accession #s

TAKE HOME
There are a lot of sequences (~95) for target and limited for ones we do not want to hit.

Going to pick a gene and see what we get.

Glycoprotein might be good because it is long, but DNA polymerase is only gene sequenced in most viruses.

Targeting a DNA polymerase is option but though there is a lot of species with the sequence the amount of sequence (length) is limited.
